Asked to install lots of annuals around the landscape for a party, we ended up not installing tons of flowers. Flowers would get lost and it could look like a carnival. We love carnivals. Fun but overwhelming. Instead we opted for a carnival in containers.
A great view of the Saugatuck River in Westport, Connecticut. Beautiful view and clean landscape with grasses, bushes, etc. We felt packing the landscape with annuals was't necessary.

The back patio was shady so we used lots of whites with different textures, with a touch of purple (salvia) and silver. In the front of the house (above) we put annuals in big containers as you wall up the front steps.
